Rumney Ecological Systems offers the public opportunities for nature education, research and nature-centered outdoor recreation at the Quincy Bog and other properties, and protects open space through the Pemi-Baker Land Trust in cooperation with area landowners. Rumney Ecological Systems envisions a future that reflects our desire to conserve special places in our region. The organization will work to establish and sustain: A well-known Nature Center and trail system through the Quincy Bog and other managed properties that are well maintained, accessible and free of charge to the public; An engaged and trained volunteer organization consisting of a Board of Directors, Bog Hosts, and other volunteers; The Pemi-Baker land trust which conserves suitable properties; Exemplary environmental and resource activities employed at all managed properties, according to written plans; A good reputation and a positive relationship relationship with the local community and landowners.
