to provide a multitude of supports for the pregnant and parenting mothers that we house. As the Parenting Education Coordinator, one of the most important components that I have attempted to improve upon is our nutritional program. To me, food is one of the most important factors to whole health. Our client's come to us in varying levels of mental and physical distress and part of our treatment support is to help provide a clean and nutritional diet. This has become harder and harder since our food budget had to be rearranged and we had to become comfortable accessing different local food banks. My goal is to create a community gardening program here at New Generation, supported by local farmers, educators and the mothers and their babies. Each person involved would gain a fulfilling experience, and supply the program with experience and support. Our clients can especially benefit from creating deep rooted community supports.
