Summary of Projects

Caring Community Gardens received a grant in 2011 to continue their educational program at River View Community School in South Gardiner, Maine. Students in third and fifth grade will learn about energy conservation, organic gardening, composting, and local foods. They will start seedlings for the garden adjacent to their school and harvest their vegetables, which will be donated to the local food bank.
