Our Purpose

Mission: Somali Bantu Community of Springfield is committed to the effective integration of Somali Bantu and other refugee members through the provision of social, economic, educationed, casemanagement, environmental health, Domestic Violence Prevention and cultural program opportunities in order to promote self-sufficiency. We provide these services and information to the Somali Bantu Community members and other refugee members who are in need of services. The overall goal of the Somali Bantu Community mission is to increase the ability of the community individuals and families to advocate on their behalf and to participate beneficially in the larger communities. We also provide information to the Somali Bantu Community and help their adaption to new life in the Unite State.

Summary of Projects

Somali Bantu Community Association of Springfield received a grant in 2011 to educate the Springfield Somali Bantu housing residents on environmentally safe methods for pest control.
