Project Mishoon
Our Purpose
Project Mishoon is a project of the Nipmuc Nation Tribal Historic Preservation Office (NNTHPO). The NNTHPO researches & protects cultural resources of the Nipmuc people. It oversees the preservation of artifacts, archaeological investigations, & other culturally related resources. The NNTHPO also conducts historical research of post-contact events, such as the 17th- century "praying villages" & colonial land transfers that offer clues about Nipmuc occupation in the post-contact period.
