Our Purpose

to preserve the Pond Brook Aquifer, to protect the drinking water supply and environment, to prevent wetlands from further destruction and to ensure a healthy and safe environment for the community through the deterrence of a solid waste and volume reduction facility.

Summary of Projects

the Hawleyville Environmental Advocacy Team received a grant in 2009 to prevent water pollution of the Pond Brook Aquifer in Hawleyville, CT by opposing Housatoic Railroad Company's DEP permit that would allow for the collecting, dumping, storing, and transporting of dangerous materials.
