Our Purpose

to increase healthy food access and nurture minds in the cities of Pawtucket and Warren by eliminating barriers to healthy food and empowering all individuals, families, and at-risk-youth with farming and gardening education and land collaboration. We believe a community that grows together, grows together.

Summary of Projects

NUF received a grant in 2011 to build an aquaponics system. This system will be the start of an Aquaponics Program where food, education, and a sustainable growing system is offered. The group will team with many local groups to make this project successful. The major two partners in this project are the Pawtucket Housing Authority and the Rhode Island School of Design.
