Our Purpose

to grow and distribute food without charge to those who are in need of food. This is generally accomplished by partnering with the RI Community Food Bank (RICFB) and local food pantries and soup kitchens that are affiliated with RICFB.

Summary of Projects

Magaziner Farm received a grant in 2009 to purchase fencing to secure a 20,000 square foot garden plot at the Magaziner Community Farm in order to increase production for local, at risk families. By safely keeping rabbits, deer, woodchucks and other such abundant neighboring animals out of the garden, more fresh garden produce will be available for the rising number of Rhode Island families in need of food assistance.
