The Plymouth Energy Commission (PEC) is a municipal commission of volunteers. The PEC researches and promotes sustainable, equitable energy provision and sound environmental practices to benefit the Town of Plymouth, its Select Board, and its citizens. The PEC guides actions that reduce energy consumption, decrease reliance on non-renewable resources, and lessen negative impacts on the environment.The PEC works to achieve its purpose by:a. promoting energy conservation and efficiency within municipal buildingsb. educating and supporting residents and businesses to engage in sustainable energy practicesc. developing plans and proposals for the Town to generate and utilize its own renewable energyd. collaborating with other town departments on the planning and implementing of green initiativese. advocating for practices that foster a sustainable and equitable environment for all its residents and for future generations
