Our Purpose

District Staff and volunteer board of supervisors cooperate with landowners in applying conservation practices to the land.ECNRCD, in recent years, has focused on areas of interest including watershed planning, water quality issues, and riparian buffers, and offers a resource to landowners, farmers, schools, municipalities and businesses through their efforts with geomorphic stream assessment and river management, project management, nutrient management/agriculture, education and other community conservation projects. Districts offer a unique and powerful vehicle for citizens to become involved with local conservation work and establish programs that protect their environment; creating local solutions for natural resource concerns.
