Our Purpose

to the restoration, conservation and enjoyment of the Hoosic River and its watershed, through education, research and advocacy. HooRWA envisions a watershed that is ecologically sound and add to the quality of life of its residents. We monitor water quality; teach pollution reduction; promote low-impact recreation; lead paddles, walks, and workshops; organize shoreline clean-ups; promote in-stream and riparian restoration projects; work with schools and youth groups; and advocate for sound land uses within our watershed community.
