To support the organization of a community organic garden in a low income elderly housing project in Springfield, MA using Corrections Department labor, NOFA coordination and knowledge and seniors' enthusiasm and harvesting skills.
To support a campaign to prevent the MA Water Resources Authority from bringing 'Bay State Organic', a fertilizer made from urban sewage sludge, to market with the suggestion that it is organic and to prohibit its use on home and commercial gardens producing food for human consumption.
