Summary of Projects

Yarmouth Green Infrastructure Committee received a grant in 2010 to fund an online interactive map of the town using natural resources inventory and public input from public meetings regarding the development of a Green Infrastructure Plan. The project includes printing current maps, meeting with the public to identify valued places and gain ideas for comprehensive open space planning, then synthesize this data into an interactive online map for additional public use and input. Yarmouth Green Infrastructure Committee is a volunteer subcommittee of the city-appointed Parks and Land Management committee of the town and works to incorporate open space planning, working landscapes, and environmental considerations like wetlands/habitat and stormwater into town planning.
