The Wethersfield Green Summit Committee received a grant in 2011 to pay for space rental and outreach to coordinate a series of town-wide energy forums designed to narrow down initiatives and to develop a plan to implement priority ideas already identified in previous community forums.

Our Purpose
to coordinate the town's various environmental and energy interests. The Committee acts as the "clearinghouse" where organizations can come to express their concerns or ideas, and as a place for where they can receive guidance for achieving their goals. In addition, the Green Summit Committee has hosted several community education forums, both for groups in town and for citizens. These include meetings where town groups meet to coordinate ideas as well as energy fairs where citizens can learn about energy saving topics such as insulation and hot water options.
