Our purpose is to... provide bagged food and food gift cards for students at Cape Cod Technical Regional High School who struggle with food insecurity and nutrition.  These bags will be distributed on Fridays starting mid-September through out the year and provide weekend food options for any student or family facing food insecurity.  We have seen an increase in food and nutrition gaps and many students rely on school breakfast and lunch for all their meals.  Providing a bag of food and a gift card each Friday at dismissal, we can cover the weekend gap in meals for the students.  We reached out to Cape Kids Meals and they will provide the food and we will provide the gift cards, drawstring bags and student volunteers.  We would be servicing at least 50 students weekly to start.  Our goal is to fill any disparity gaps among students on our campus.  Without proper nutritious food and regular meals, students will not learn and thrive.  This project needs funding for the bags and gift cards to have a successful start up.
