The purpose of the Waterman Street Dog Park Association ( the Association) is to establish an off leash dog park for dog owners and the community where people of all ages have an opportunity to intereact with dogs or enjoy two acres of wooded trails, a playground and serenity sites.  Working with the Providence Parks Department, the Association shares responsibility to manage the park site and provide financial support to maintain the property and fund park-related amenities for pets, pet owners and the public to enjoy.  A related purpose of the Association is to continue its outreach program to inform the community about the park through social/electronic media sites, printed materials and a public presence at community-based festivals, including the local Farmers Market held monthly from May to October.
