The Waterbury-Duxbury Food Council received a grant in 2010 for a project coordinator stipend to help facilitate the research and networking components of its action plan. The group has done strategic work during the Summer of 2010 to tie together different initiatives and establish a plan for the next few years. Tapping the available resources, the group will launch a community food assessment to determine gaps and needs and to develop a clear action plan going forward.
