Vermont Interfaith Action
Our Purpose
VIA (Vermont Interfaith Action) unites people of many faith traditions to work collectively for justice, equity, and the common good. Our big-picture goal is to build a Vermont where every person and community can thrive with dignity, opportunity, and respect for the natural world. We believe that people of faith have both the moral grounding and the collective power to transform the systems that shape our lives. Our process begins with deep listening—identifying shared values and the real concerns of our communities. Through relationship-building, leadership development, and collective action, VIA empowers individuals and congregations to confront injustice and create lasting, systemic change rooted in compassion and fairness. We do this work because our faith calls us to love our neighbors, care for creation, and act together for justice. VIA envisions communities grounded in stewardship, equity, and mutual responsibility—where social, economic, and ecological well-being are interconnected and accessible to all.
