ROOTS is a community-engaged non-profit dedicated to promoting food security and food justice. We have our roots in New Britain where our popular mobile food market is seen everywhere! Education and food security are our primary activities. We make healthy food accessible and affordable to our low-income neighbors. We work with Connecticut's farmers, food artisans and food activists. We learn and teach with people of all ages, and provide education programs for elementary and high school students on food justice, farming sustainability and empowered eating practices.
