Unity Center for Spiritual Growth, has been serving the southern Maine community for nearly nine decades. It has provided a space for individuals to come together, fostering spiritual growth and a commitment to community service. Unity hosts various in-house workshops, and its members contribute to initiatives such as the Sebago Region Fuller Center for Housing, focusing on home repairs for seniors and veterans.In 2006 a labyrinth was established on the property and over the years it has been a means of support and comfort for those in our community and the greater community, It is walked by all ages and even pets. Every year we have a group who weeds and maintains it however the weedbarrier has deteriorated and we couldn't keep up with the weeds. This summer we have given it a full face lift.  The goal and the reason for this grant request is to allow us to make getting to the labyrinth wheelchair and walker accessible. It is not at this time. Our vision is to also turn the area that surrounds the labyrinth into a peace and meditation garden. Our community has come together to raise the money for phase one along with help a grant from the Labyrinth Society.
