United Youth Empowerment Services (UnitedYES) is dedicated to creating a thriving and inclusive community for immigrant and refugee youth in Lewiston, Maine. Our big picture goal is to address and overcome the barriers these young individuals face, such as gun violence and substance abuse, by providing essential resources, safe spaces, and supportive community connections.We formed our initiative in response to the pressing needs of immigrant and refugee youth who are often disproportionately affected by these challenges. Our work aims to offer a holistic approach to empowerment, combining educational support, mental health services, mentorship, and community engagement to foster resilience and personal growth.By focusing on these areas, we seek to ensure that every young person has the tools and opportunities needed to lead a successful, fulfilling life. Our ultimate goal is to inspire and uplift the next generation, helping them to overcome obstacles and contribute positively to their communities. This commitment to empowerment and support drives our efforts and shapes our mission every day.
