Our Purpose

Our purpose is to serve the community, and help students accomplish their goals and meet their needs. Our main purpose is to act as an operator on a phone line, connecting groups and people that would not have otherwise come into contact. Our initial objectives were to act as a rapid response team for the COVID-19 crisis, ensuring that all students had sustainable access to food, housing, travel, storage, and more. As time goes on, we will continue to act as a mediator between those who have resources and those who need them in the Tufts community. We will also connect with student clubs to enable organizing across social boundaries. We have several different initiatives that help students solve their food insecurities, have access to rent money, connect open housing to students (especially as student housing changes quickly and often), and create sustainable practices and places for the quick turnover of goods and items for college students.
