Our purpose is to feed those struggling with food insecurities and other household shortages.  We serve 500+ people per month from Penobscot County.  The need has increased over the past 24 years with the closing of the paper mills, and is now dramatically increasing even further with the COVID-19 pandemic leaving numorous families unemployed due to mandatory business closing.  Most of these households also now have children at home full time with the school closing instead of being in school which provided meals and snacks.
