Our Purpose

We are keenly focused on rural solutions as so many of the older adults and providers in our region experience aging and service delivery through the rural lens. The group's region includes rural communities in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Because aging impacts every aspect of our lives, we address multiple systems, conditions and issues through our programming. Specifically, our focus has been on how people can remain active, healthy and engaged while living in their communities when they can no longer drive, need assistance with care that might not be available to them, are grappling with dementia or caregiving related to it, or are living in homes that no longer meet their physical or financial needs. This project seeks to understand, share and help replicate small and large community responses and systems changes that are taking place across our region that support healthy aging in this new era.
