Transition Vermont received a grant in 2009 to organize and host Village Building Convergence a nine day event in Montpelier, VT to active neighborhoods and build eco-oriented projects. The Convergence will include hands on education in permaculture design, ecological building and art and energy descent preparedness skills. Projects are founded on ideals of developing strong local relationships, social capitol and equity, placemaking, ecological design, supporting our local economy and developing our city and bioregion as a network of interconnected village centers.
