The town of Ashland has the goal of being Net Zero by 2040. This was voted in by the town in 2019. Since being voted in the Town has hired a Sustainability Project Manager whose job is to assit the town in reaching the 2040 goal. The Town of Ashland identifies that climate change as a threat to not only the natural enviorment but additnally the well being of our residents. As of 2020 Ashland is fully an Enviormental Justice community, for minority populations and low income.  While I, the sustainability manager will be leading this project and am only writting in the information of myself, as a sole department member, this project would be done while working with the Sustainability committee which is made up of residential volunteers, and other town staff.
