to foster a deeper level of understanding for our students who have elected to be part of the recycling committee. Students have taken on the task of initiating a school wide campaign to be more thoughtful in terms of recycling. They have taken on the responsibility of collecting recycle bins weekly and are working with school faculty on issues relative to recycling to promote the reduce, reuse and recycle campaign not only for our school but the community. Thorndyke Road is made up of roughly a 60% free and reduced lunch population. Empowering them to become agents of change for the better will assist them in tackling many worldly issues now and in the future.
