The mission of the Thetford Energy Committee (TEC) is to work with the Town, its residents and businesses to help reduce energy use, save money and protect the environment. TEC also conducts educational programs on energy efficiency made available to town residents. In addition to the support of town volunteers, many TEC projects are funded by federal, state, and private foundation grants. The TEC also participates in pilot-project initiatives created at the state level. A number of our projects have served as models for, and have been replicated by other Vermont town energy committees.
