Our purpose is to build the capacity of Medford Housing Authority residents to become leaders and coordinators within our organization and within the greater Medford community.  Our projects allow residents  (who are often working multiple jobs) to contribute their stories/experiences in ways most comfortable to them. It also opens up these relatively “unseen” and “unheard” members of the community into the mainstream.We began with a small community building project that was inspired by Meghan Markle's initiative with the Grenfell Towers in London. Our initial project brought together MHA residents from different races, financial backgrounds, age groups, genders, abilities, and cultures. The project was very unique and successfull as it centered and showcased residents from design to execution and provided the greater Medford community an avenue to learn more about the art/cultures and stories of their neighbors at the MHA. We want to continue to build this organization because we are seeing the positive impact of our programs with the participating residents and we continue to receive broad community support and praise from the MHA residents as well as the residents of the greater Medford area.For more information please visit our website: https://ksgodin.wixsite.com/themysticproject
