The Council received a grant in 2011 to rent SNAP/EBT processing equipment and for signage for the new market. The new location is both visible and easily accessible to those who live in and around New London. The group is expecting a variety of local food producers primarily farmers and fisheries. All locally harvested. The market will accept EBT/SNAP and WIC to assure the large population using those programs will have access to affordable nutriously grown food.
