Organization Mission: “To provide a brave, safe, and creative space for a diversity of expression from within our community. Wallingford Public Access Association (WPAA), d/b/a WPAA-TV and Community Media Center facilitates the production of digital media by people and organizations and distributes the content as community access television. Our doors are open to all on a 1st come, 1st serve basis.We empower the people of Wallingford and beyond to meet their communication needs, as they define them, by facilitating digital media creation and managing its public distribution. The use of digital media tools can help inform, connect, and build community through the production of ideas, opinions, stories, news, information, or performance.We anticipate that people who join out of curiosity will discover what you did not know they needed. We offer physical and virtual space for expression.  However, integrating both experiences in community initiatives maximizes engagement and fulfillment.We have tools that many people can not afford. However, leaping from what is in nearly everyone’s hands to purposeful engagement within our spaces is challenging. CONTRIBUTED MEDIA FROM WHERE YOU AREOur contributed media project seems to have the potential to create a bridge between “What we offer” and “What people think is enough for creating & communicating": Their smartphone.
