Our Purpose

Team G.R.E.E.N. (Growing Responsibly, Educationally, Economically, and Nutritionally) is a primarily student-run organization that grows produce in their school's gardens and donates it to local food pantries and even serves it to students and staff in their schools' cafeterias. In partnership with their neighboring town (and growing!) and other schools in the North Attleborough School District, students learn to write grants, which highly expands on their English and writing skills - they also learn a lot from grants that are rejected. In growing the produce, the students are exposed to nature and get hands-on experiance. They learn how to make healthy choices, as do those who receive the produce. In their towns, the produce is send to a food pantry, which then distributes the food to families who couldn't normally afford to put a healthy meal on their table. In doing all this, Team G.R.E.E.N. has brought the community closer, which is a beautiful thing!
