Our Purpose

to address environmental, cultural (including youth), and economic sustainability issues. Sustainable Rutland is committed to respecting the ability of present and future generations to live sustainable, just, and equitable lives through initiatives designed to build community and provide educational opportunities. With optimism and practicality as guiding principles and strategies, SR seeks to naturally connect the values, needs and responsibilities of individuals with the greater community, while embracing the interconnectedness of our urban and rural communities.

Summary of Projects

The group received a grant to improve the environmental, economic and cultural sustainability of Rutland by facilitating community engagement and education, as well as strategies for creating positive change within municipal agencies and community organizations.
