to create opportunities to strengthen the fabric of our neighborhood through inclusive activities that positively contribute to the physical appearance of our streets and to our access to local, nutritious food. We formed our current group in the Winter of 2012, even though members of our neighborhood have been working together for many years. In the spring of 2013 we participated in a city-sponsored tree planting program and planted 25 new trees on our streets. Over two dozen neighbors came out to contribute their time and energy to plant the trees and participate in a street cleaning effort. Because of the response, the neighbors decided that we should look for additional opportunities to improve our quality of life together.
