Our Purpose

Our group formed in response to the deep inequities we see in cancer education, care navigation, and emotional support—especially for patients, caregivers, and frontline oncology nurses who are often overwhelmed, under-resourced, and excluded from decision-making in health systems. Cancer does not occur in isolation; it is deeply connected to environmental exposures, access to clear information, workplace stress, and the cumulative impacts of social and economic conditions on health. Our big-picture goal is to reduce fear, confusion, and harm along the cancer journey by providing free, accessible, and compassionate educational resources that help people better understand what is happening to their bodies, advocate for themselves, and feel less alone. We focus on practical tools—patient guides, digital resources, workshops, and nurse education—that translate complex medical information into language people can actually use. We are especially committed to supporting those who are most impacted by environmental health inequities, including people navigating cancer while facing financial stress, caregiving burdens, or systemic barriers to care. By strengthening knowledge, connection, and confidence at the community level, we aim to improve health outcomes, reduce burnout among caregivers and nurses, and support a more just, humane, and sustainable approach to cancer care rooted in dignity and shared power.
