Our Purpose
The big picture goal of the Starlings Inspire program is to use volleyball instruction as a vehicle to develop valuable skills such as leadership, teamwork, and communication. Ulitmately, we want all of our student-athletes to be successful in school and contributing members to their communities. We emphasize the importance of dedication, hard work, and responsibility because those qualities play an important role on sports teams, in school, at home, and in the community. The longer students participate in our program, the more their self-confidence grows. This is most demonstrated by their communication and leadership on the volleyball court, but it's also reflected in their good grades in school and participation in community events. The long-term goal is that the student-athletes will return to the volleyball club to become coaches and pass on what they learned to the next generation. If they don't wish to remain involved in the sport, we hope that they find other roles as community leaders to share their experience with those who follow in their footsteps.
