Our Purpose

to serve as a diverse group of stakeholders that provide a comprehensive examination and ongoing assessment of Springfield's food system as well as ongoing recommendations for policy and built-environment solutions to improve access to fresh, affordable, and culturally appropriate food for those who live and work in the City of Springfield. The Urban Agriculture Committee of the SFPC who is the Core Group behind this project works to expand community gardening and urban agriculture in Springfield.
