The SPC  Nature Friends Group is a catch-them-young group existing under St Pius Xth College Bodo, Rivers State Nigeria to reach out to families and the  wider society though secondary school students who are advocates of environmental sustainability. This group was created as a result of the height of environmental degradation and numerous climate change issues we suffer and based on the fact that many are unaware of these envronmental crises hence continued harmful activities. Human activities such as illegal oil refining,  harmful fishing methods, plastic pollution, poor waste management. Oil spill and communal crises have destabilized the social and economic life of the people such that poverty, diseases, hunger, death rate is very high. Black soot is a serious manace as a result of high level of Co2 generated through illegal refining of crude. The people into  this bunkery  are not concerned about the environment impact. The future here will really be bleak because we are already suffering the consequences in the area of climate change which has affected health, Agriculture, and every economic and social activities. The only way out is Education. This programme is planned to cut across schools,  Where student Environmental Advocates will go to sensitize other schools and establish the Nature Friend Group. Through this way, every home and the society at large.
