Our Purpose

We are a motley core crew of 10 brought together through the journey of becoming a teacher. One part of our group is a teacher education program, from which most of us graduated. Many who graduated from our program moved on but some of us stayed. Our work branched out to include doing political street theater, community organizing, leading study circles, and starting a radio show. Our purpose is to grow a community of teachers to critically examine their ideas, connect their work with justice (racial, class, gender, planetary), and to be situated in our communities as leaders to push for justice and equity. As a group, we see no other choice but to oppose exploitative practices, and building a more humanized community and world.
