The mission of the Southeastern Massachusetts Time Exchange is to empower individuals and communities in Southeastern Massachusetts through the sharing of skills and time. The Time Exchange is a joint venture between the UMass Dartmouth Office of Campus Sustainability, United Neighbors of Fall River, and the Community Economic Development Center of New Bedford. We have received 2 Americorps Vistas over a three year period beginning in fall of 2012 to get the exchange off the ground. Each of the organizations has pledged significant time and in-kind support but is limited in the amount of cash it can provide for events and other operating support.
