This site has a 40 year history of numerous charges, lack of enforcement of penalties and continued illegal dumping since 1982. The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection has received an application from the owners of this property to cap this landfill with 1.7 million tons of "slightly contaminated soil". This property abuts some town wells, many wetlands and a town aquifer. The Alliance was formed to educate town and state officials on the potential harm to the water supply of the town.
