Our purpose is to address the challenges of disparity and address cultural biases from medical and educational professionals. The pandemic exacerbated the inequities in health care and education for people in marginalized communities. Our group is addressing this through the development of a new project called Reimagining Healthy Lives. This reflects the mission of SPACE which is to inform families of their rights, improve access to resources, and disperse accurate information. This project is intended to support the Somali program in exercising their rights to health care.
