Created in 2007 by community members, the SBCAVT supports not only the Somali community, but also any fellow community member in need of service. SBCAVT is working hard to overcome barriers its community members face in accessing resources meant for all low income Vermonters. We assist community members in identifying and utilizing resources, services and good professional opportunities as a means of capacity building. We provide a full range of support, like parenting, case management and counseling services to help community members overcome their very traumatic pasts and stressful experiences as they attempt to survive economically and emotionally, in addition, SBCAVT serves as a liaison between Refugees and other service providers
