Our Purpose

The Society for Psychedelic Advocacy, Research & Knowledge (SPARK) is a collective of licensed clinicians, educators, and researchers committed to advancing thoughtful, ethical, and accessible community education on psychedelics and psychedelic-assisted therapies. We aspire to activate a grassroots campaign to help shape the psychedelic ecosystem and education in Vermont.SPARK offers public talks, workshops, and community conversations designed to foster informed dialogue around the therapeutic potential, risks, history, and cultural contexts of psychedelic medicines. Our work is grounded in current research, clinical best practices, and harm-reduction principles, while remaining deeply attentive to the lived experiences, values, and questions present within local communities.SPARK does not promote illegal activity or provide clinical treatment through community education events. Instead, we prioritize transparency, ethical boundaries, and respect for diverse belief systems, recognizing that psychedelics intersect with healthcare, spirituality, culture, and social justice in complex ways.By centering education, dialogue, and community collaboration, SPARK in Vt aims to contribute to a more informed, compassionate, and ethically grounded public conversation about psychedelics and their place in individual and collective healing.
