Since 1968, Sociedad Latina has worked in partnership with youth and families to create the next generation of Latino leaders who are confident, competent, self-sustaining, and proud of their cultural heritage. As part of our yearly programming, Sociedad Latina works with 5,000 underserved youth and their families from across Boston. Through our cutting edge “Pathways to Success” programming, Latino, undocumented, and English Learner youth ages 11-21 build the necessary skills for long-term success by engaging in comprehensive programming in areas of need:

• Education: Supports youth and their families on their academic journey from middle school, through high school and into postsecondary education. Provides postsecondary pathways guidance and academic case management to youth ages 11-21.
• Workforce Development: Prepares Latino youth for professional success in career fields where they are underrepresented. Provides skill building, career exploration, hands-on work experience and mentoring for youth ages 14-21.
• Civic Engagement: Organization-wide campaigns led by youth ages 14-18 and their families. Campaigns address community challenges such as education reform, health inequity, and community development.
• Arts & Culture: Exposes youth ages 11-18 and their families to opportunities to create art (music, dance, media arts, theatre, visual arts and STEAM) and celebrate Latino culture and heritage through exploration, creativity and self-expression.
