Salvation Farms received a Grow grant in 2012 to support a pilot to occur at the Windsor based correctional facility. The group will utilize inmate work crews to receive, clean, grade and pack an acres worth of donated potatoes this fall. The resulting ten pound bags of potatoes will be inventoried and made available to the charitable/emergency food system sites serving the southeast region of the state.
