Our Purpose

Our purpose is to...improve the water quality of Lake Sadawga, specifically to mitigate the milfoil in the lake. Prior to 2016 we experienced an increase Eurasian milfoil, an invasive species.  Post Hurricane Irene (2011), the state of Vermont decided to rebuild the lake dam (completed December 2016) which resulted in a hard freeze.  This past summer (2017) the milfoil invasion did not seem as severe.  We have an agreement with a professional Larry Eichler of Darrin Water Institute to conduct a plant study of the various species in the lake and to determine a baseline regarding the milfoil in order to determine best efforts needed to control the invasion.
