RideBuzz received a small grant in 2008 for website improvements needed to ensure consistent and timely delivery to the rideshare system in the Amherst, MA region. The RideBuzz site is heavily used by the Amherst community, especially young people who are more practiced in accessing technology and ride sharing. Ridesharing provides a way to reduce greenhouse emission, oil consumption and mitigate traffic while providing access to low-cost, flexible rides for those in need.
