Our purpose is to...Create access to community garden space so that the residents of Richmond have a place to grow their own food regardless of their type of residence, age, ability, socioeconomic status, race, gender, or cultural heritage. The Richmond Community Garden aims to create garden opportunities in a walkable area, with multiple opportunities to get your hands in the dirt regardless of your age, physcial ability, or ability to pay. This space is intended to reinforce strong community by serving as a space for people to connect, learn from one another and garden educators, have space to grow their own food, and contribute to collective garden spaces that produce for the local food shelf.
