The Richmond Climate Action Committee (RCAC) received a small grant in 2008 to support a number of community outreach and education activities in their rural Vermont town including developing displays for events and fairs, green home tours, developing a logo etc. The RCAC has been successful in getting many community members activated including their town selectboard which is now considering siting wind for municipal use. The RCAC website has a wide variety of resources for community members including selling food composters to reduce waste, information on car pooling etc.
